Kentucky Chardonnay
Description:
The Name Chardonnay comes from a variety of grapes said to originate in the Burgandy region of France. The Chardonnay Grape is a hybird variety derived from Pinot and Gouais Blanc grapes.

The Chardonnay Grape is said to have been developed in the thirteenth century and popularized by the Cistercian monks. Growing conditions influence the fruit making each individual vinyard's offerings unique. Various fermentation and aging methods produce a wine that ranges in flavor from light and fruity to rich, nutty and buttery.

This barrel fermented chardonnay is loaded with pear, and ripe apple. A light nutty character from the barrel and the creamy texture round the soft acids of this full bodied wine.
